Try the DRY DIET for two or three days to find out if it might work for you
To test if the DRY DIET might be the solution for your weight problem, it is not necessary to reduce or limit the intake of any type of food, quite the opposite. Therefore you should continue to eat as you usual do, the same type of food that you eat every day. If your regular meals include Pizza or Cheeseburger with fries, then that is what you should eat when you are testing the DRY DIET. Only then will you be able to determine if it will work for you in normal conditions.
Many diets work in the short-term, because they are very restrictive of certain types of foods. However, they are impossible to sustain in the long term. The last thing that you should want to do is to start another one that will give you quick results, only to regain everything back some time after.
The essential principle of the DRY DIET is to separate the ingestion of food from the ingestion of any liquids, because when liquids mix together with the food the digestive juices will be diluted and will not be able to perform their work efficiently.
This means that you should follow the following steps:
- water should be taken minimum 30 minutes before every meal, ideally 45 minutes, so that the stomach can be empty of water when the food is eaten.
- Following a meal, no liquids should be taken for at least 2 hours, but ideally 3 or more. That is the amount of time that the food needs to leave the stomach and enter the small intestine.
- Drink only water. Avoid liquids that might need to be digested such as milk, soups, fruit juices, alcohol, etc.
If after 2 or 3 days you notice an improvement on your abdominal distension, if you feel that your digestion is easier and that you experience an improved sensation of well-being, then the DRY DIET might be the answer to your obesity problems. You should then consider trying the DRY DIET for an extended period of time.
